Background to the ASEV article writing programme and process

Together with Dr. Christel Troskie-de Bruin of ASEV Research and Development Consultants, we developed the material for the article writing workshop which is currently presented in both face to face and virtual set-ups.

  • We have been involved in critical reading and facilitation of writing for publication workshops over the past 14 years.
  • We have each read approximately 1800 articles from different disciplines during this time.
  • We have been involved in teaching, research and postgraduate supervision in Higher Education over the past three decades.

Background information on Ruth Albertyn

Prof Ruth Albertyn
  • NRF rated scholar.
  • Ruth obtained her Masters (Cum Laude) and her PhD in 2000 at Stellenbosch University.
  • She is an Associate Professor and Extraordinary Faculty at Stellenbosch University Business School and a Research Associate at the Centre for Higher and Adult Education also at Stellenbosch University, South Africa.
  • She has been involved in research and development capacity building activities in universities in Southern, Central and Western Africa and Belgium.
  • She has won awards for teaching, research and also the Emerald Literati award for excellent review of an academic article.
